3D is a gimmick

I actually agree with Director Michael Bay's comment that 3D is a gimmick...nothing more. The studios are making it out to be the next big thing and point to recent hits that have been released in 3D. Rah bah bah, I say! When they can make a three dimensional movie where you don't have to wear glasses and it's used for even the most basic character movie as well as big Hollywood blockbuster, then it'll be a major step forward in cinema.

Frankly, I'm amazed that 3D movies have returned. They try to resurrect this format almost every decade failing to make it permanent time and time again. And I don't care what size your IMAX screen is either. Click on the photo for more of Michael Bay's thoughts on the matter.
