Turns out The Farrelly Brothers had just completed a movie entitled "Fever Pitch" about a man obsessed with The Red Sox, also starring Drew Barrymore. They arranged for Fallon and Drew to be on the field with cameras rolling to re-shoot the ending. Talk about 11th hour changes...
