The intensity of movie trailers

Here's an interesting article about the affect trailers have on kids, from "The Exorcist" to Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland". I was thinking about the cutting style I used with my broadcast trailer for "Splice" while reading it.

Very interesting. I agree with the author, a lot of today's trailers are nothing but flash and noise (Clash of the Titans for one) where they don't tell a good story or offer a good tease and just bombard the senses with white noise and CGI.

Help us Obi-B-DeMille, you're only hope. Bring back good, solid, comprehensible trailers!
